Believers in the Tribulation

Confused. . ? Pre-, Post-, Mid-Tribulation, Any-time-now?

In Matthew 24, before Jesus says anything about the last days, He says, “Pay attention that no man deceives you.” (Mat.24:4)

An estimated 85% to 95% of the Christians believe that Jesus will return before the tribulation starts. However Jesus said, “Remember . . If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” (John 15:20) “All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2Timothy 3:12)

Watch out for that Christian veneer

“Take heed: (Listen carefully) “But in those days, after that tribulation . . then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” (Mark 13:24-26) “Immediately after the tribulation of those days” (Matthew 24:29-31) If Jesus said after, then He meant after, no matter what other “teachers” or preachers, or your Scofield Bible says. Scofield said it, not the Bible, nor Jesus! It would be so wonderful if Scofield’s words would hold more true, than what Jesus said. But then I doubt that also as Jesus Christ gave His life for mine and Cyrus Scofield did not. Wouldn’t it be great if Jesus would come back before the tribulation, but how would that test our faith and how can He see what our character is made of? It might be safer to believe Jesus. He said.“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Mat.24:35)

“Beware of false preachers, which come to you in sheep’s clothing (Christian Veneer), but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matthew 7:15) “ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.” (2Peter 3:16) The Devil’s own slogan is, ‘Divide and conquer’. J.N. Darby, Scofield and others have surely divided the Christians. It doesn’t matter what we and many multitudes believe, it is what Jesus, Paul, Daniel and John the Revelator wrote, that will happen.

Decisions – The great falling away

“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14) “Don’t be troubled. . as that the day of Christ is at hand.” (2Thess. 2:2) He’s saying, “Don’t get all frazzled thinking that Jesus can come back anytime.”
Corrie Ten Boom wrote in 1974: “There are some among us teaching there will be no tribulation, that the Christians will be able to escape all this. These are the false teachers that Jesus was warning us to expect in the latter days.”  “therefore the people that do not understand shall fall.” (Hosea 4:14)

Jesus Himself prophesied concerning the servant that shall say, “My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to smite his fellow servants”, (Mat.24:48) and “brother shall betray brother to death. Relatives shall rise against relatives and shall cause them to be put to death” (Mark 13:12). To get in good with the government they will have to betray their brothers and sisters, who they will now see as fundamentalists and religious fanatics. “there shall come in the last days scoffers, saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant..” (2Peter 3:3-5)

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing” (Mat.7:15) as Christians or Evangelists giving good sounding theories, and not sticking to what Jesus said! “and shall deceive MANY.”  Is the  “MANY” the 85% to 95% of the Christians?

The Parable of the End-time

Another parable he put forth to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (this is Jesus teaching us the Word):  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. (this represents false preachers twisting the scriptures about the Lord’s return) But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also (those that absorb these false teaching). So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then where do these tares come from?’ He said unto them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said unto him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

But he said, ‘No; unless while you gather up the tares, you uproot also the wheat with them. . .Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, First you gather together the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.’”  (Matthew 13:24-30) The tares will first be sorted out during the Great Tribulation as they will fall away, after which Jesus will come back to gather His children “Immediately after the tribulation of those days” (Mat.24:29)

The organized churches come to their end

The Churches:

Gods’ children persecuted. “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;” (Daniel 7:21)

Here we see what is happening with the organized churches, which will collapse and the registered believers will be rounded up. There will be, the “blood of the saints and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus who loved not their life unto death”. (Revelation 12:11)

“he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” (Revelation 13:10) The patience is that they did not take up arms to avenge themselves.
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight. (John 18:36)
“Fear not them who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul. . The very hairs of your head are all numbered. . . Do not fear therefore”. (Mat.10:28-31)

What a family to be proud of! They will be the first ones to make it to heaven, as they loved not their life even unto death. “Welcome Home! You did not deny me. I am proud of you!” “Yes, we made it to heaven before you and we will help you from up here. Hold On!”

“You cannot serve God and Mammon”

These words of Jesus will then be reality. The decision is: Do I take the mark and serve Mammon, or do I decide to run and serve God and trust Him to take care of me?
Once the abomination is set up it will very efficient worldwide. It will immediately enforce the mark and it is time to “Flee into the mountains”  ESCAPE “For then shall be great tribulation”
Jesus said, “Don’t take anything out of your house.” MOVE! “if you are in the field don’t go and pick up your clothes” RUN! “And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!” (Mat.24:16-19) Better not to be pregnant, or have a nursing baby when that time comes.

Will we be ready to part with property and possessions, in order to flee when the time comes? Will we be ready to run by then? Are we still Strangers and Pilgrims on earth and do we desire a better country that is a heavenly, wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God” (Hebrews 11:13,14)

Okay into the wilderness, but can we trust God to take care of us? Will we give God the chance to prove Himself again? Or will we succumb to the propaganda and lies, before we put God’s word to the test?

  • He took care of Moses and around 3 to 6 million people out in the desert for forty years, where there was no food and practically zero water. (Exodus 16-17:7) For us it is only 3½ years.
  • The raven brought Elijah food. “The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.”  (1Kings 17:6)
  • The barrel of meal and the jar of oil of the widow of Zarephath did not run dry. “For this is what the Lord says. . ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry. . ‘ She did as Elijah told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family.” (1Kings 17:11-16)

How many was it that Jesus fed?

  • “And it was evening. . and they that had eaten were about 5000 men, besides the women and children.” (Mat.14 15,21) That is at least 10,000 take-away dinners, instant delivery.
  • The second time at the sea of Galilee there “were four thousand men, beside women and children.” (Mat.15:38) That is another 8,000 to 10,000 lunch packets served in one sitting.

The Challengers

Then there will be those among the believers, who have memorized God’s promises, who want to put God to the test. For them it is a test both ways; God puts them to the test and they put God to the test to see if he will hold true on his promises, and God loves this.

The Devil was already defeated when Jesus gave his life for our sins, so why join a loser that will lead you down a loser’s path. Okay so yes, we are dead in Christ, but because we are released from these chains of sin, we can experience life to the fullest, to total overflowing. Life has never been so amazing, life has never been so good, life could not be any better.

So he prevails against the saints. Jesus said, “If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” (John 15:20)

  • They called Jesus a glutton, a wine bibber, a friend of publicans (traitors) and sinners and harlots, a mad man that has a devil. (Matthew 11:19)
  • Jeremiah was considered an enemy of the state. (Jeremiah 38:4)

What will they call you and me? “Crazy fundamentalists, terrorists, enemies of the world, a useless lot to be gotten rid of”?

Let’s see how our faith will fly

Daniel wrote, “And they that understand among the people shall instruct many” People will wonder ‘what is going on?’ Now you can tell them. “yet they shall fall by the sword, or be burned or captured or plundered. When they fall they will receive a little help, (from the heavies in heaven), but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.” (Daniel 11:32-34) Insincere flatteries of: “You are such a wonderful person, you could be such a help in the New World Order. We need people like you, movers and shakers that want to help the world to move forward. You would be a tremendous asset to the NWO. Why die for a God that no one has seen, when you can give your energies to improve life on earth right here and now.”

Daniel also wrote, “the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits”. Maybe we don’t know God so well, but we can at least try to be strong and try to do exploits, and who knows, maybe God will come through for us. All those greats that went before us and are in heaven will be able to give us a hand without the distractions of the Devil being in heaven, because he is cast out. All of heaven will be concentrating on these last 3½ years, or 42 months, or 1260 days to help us and to focus their assisting powers on us and that is why we will do exploits. “that they without us should not be made perfect” (Heb.11:40) Their joy is perfect as they are now free to be at our beckon call, ready to assist us.

But what if we get caught and are shot on the spot?

Ready. . .Aim . . Fire. . .  Would you not want to leave this loony bin and go back to heaven? Little do they know that by killing us they are sending us home faster than on the bullet express train. Immediate arrival.

Thank God. Wouldn’t you want to be with the ones that you love, instead of this crazed bunch on earth that hates and despises you, because you love Jesus and don’t want to accept their usurper, messiah or god, or worship their God-damned, talking puppet. God-damned is to reiterate that this talking android is damned by God. May God give us the grace to stand for him and, if we fall, may it be that our body falls and we go up. Back home. May God by His grace, give us the strength to stay true to Him and may we, by His mercy, never deny Jesus after all that He has given for us.

Faith or Fear?

The coward is fearful and spreads fear. The media plays on it: the fear of terrorism, the fear of disease: swine flu, bird flu, mad cow disease.  Horror movies spread fear. Fear is addictive and contagious. After a while you want the ‘scary thrill’, but fear latches on and before we realize it we become fearful creatures. The result is, when we are told to do certain things, even when we know that it is wrong we do them anyway, as we are afraid to face the consequences of standing up for what we know is right. Keep yourself clean from this horror and fear business that is being spread.

In order to hide our fears we put up a brave front of rebellion to show that we are not afraid. We start blowing off the voice of our conscience and our spiritual life hits a downward spiral. We excuse ourselves, and others will also excuse us, because in excusing us they are excusing themselves. In our natural reasoning we believe that power eliminates fear. So many of us will want to learn the special powers of witchcraft and have our children instructed in it, from Harry Potter to Pokémon. The Antichrist and his ilk will play on our lust for power and our rebellious instinct which wants to prove that we are not afraid of anything or anybody and definitely not God.

This is the climax of all history.
Will Satan rule my life? Will I fear and follow the crowd or stay faithful to Jesus?
This will be the test of our hearts. Will you and I choose faith, or fall for fear?
Will we love or hate, choose God or Satan? Life or death?
It is my personal decision, my ‘Freedom of Choice’.
No one can make it for me, not God, nor Satan.

The False Prophet

There will be the False Prophet calling down fire from heaven pretending to be Elias/Elijah, who is coming to announce that the Antichrist is the only “true messiah.”
Jesus said, “If possible they would deceive the very elect.” (Mat.24:24) Dear Elect, please Watch Out!! Be Warned!!

The Two True Prophets / Witnesses

Besides the believers running around doing exploits and miracles, there will be two prophets prophesying in Jerusalem. Revelation chapter 11 talks about two powerful prophets or witnesses.

“These are the two candle sticks standing before the God of the earth” (Revelation 11:4) “and they shall prophecy 1260 days clothed in sackcloth. And if any man will hurt them, fire will proceed out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven that it rain not (drought) in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they have finished their testimony the beast (Antichrist) shall kill them” (Revelation 11:3,5,6,7)

These two powerful prophets are in Jerusalem prophesying that things will end soon and exposing everything that is happening. However, only at the end of their testimony is the Antichrist allowed to kill them. He is probably insanely infuriated about these two prophets right under his nose, as he has now moved into Jerusalem and is living there. “And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another” (Revelation 11:9,10)

Although everyone will be happy for their death, people will be too afraid to touch or remove them. “Now after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, ‘Come up here’. And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.” (Revelation 11:11,12)

After three and a half days they stood upon their feet! And everyone was scared stiff and they ascended up into heaven. “And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud”. (Revelation 11:12)

So we go up in the rapture at 1260 days. The two prophets get killed and come up 3½ days later. Yes folks, it is the Marriage supper. This will be a time of unwinding, maybe even some trauma counseling, reuniting with loved ones and of course celebrating that this total insanity and madness is finished.

The Woman in the Wilderness

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun . . . upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.. . . And to the woman were given two wings . . . the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there 1260 days.” (Rev.12:1-6)  This woman represents the body or bodies of believers, that God will take care of in the wilderness, just like He did with Moses and the children of Israel. Only for us it will be 3½ years and not 40 years.

“The serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood” (Revelation 12:15) So we will be flooded with lies against the believers. Many will get carried away with the flood of propaganda. The truth of God’s word will be trampled and considered lies, while lies will be believed as truths. “The truth was thrown to the ground.” (Dan.8:12)

The woman is in labour pain, which represents this time of great tribulation that the believers are going through. “The dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born” (Rev.12:4) The child that she brings forth is Jesus when He returns. Satan wants to devour this child and actually thinks that he can destroy Jesus in the battle of Armageddon. However things will turn out different, as John writes, “I saw an angel. . and he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years” (Rev.20:1,2)

Promises to Endure

Claim the promises of Psalm 91 “He shall cover you with his feathers and under his wings shall you trust. . . A thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.”

“And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 10:22)

This is oil for your jar!

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. . . But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. . . And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” (Daniel 7:25-27)

“And one of the elders answered me, ‘Who are these which are arrayed in white robes? and where did they come from?’ . . . And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know. And he said to me, ‘These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.’” (Revelation 7:13,14)

“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. . . and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.” (Daniel 2:44,45)

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4)

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. (They all had lamps so they were all believers) Five of them were wise, and five were y foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” (The wise took oil, they memorized God’s promises. While the foolish did not know God’s promises and fell away) (Matthew 25:1-4)

“When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and snatches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.” (Matthew 13:19)

“Continue in my word and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” (John 8:32)

“Give me understanding, and I shall live.” (Psalm 119:144)

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Romans 8:35)

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, . . being fully persuaded that, what God had promised, he was able also to perform.” (Romans 4:20,21
